Happy August everyone!I can't believe it's already August! Time flies, doesn't it?
I hope you like the card I have for you today. If you have circle punches, then this card is super easy to make. I took out my circle punches and punched some circles out from left over scrap paper (Hawaiian Shores, Simply Chartreuse, and Berry Sorbet scraps) and created the flowers by layering the different sized circles on top of one another with dimensionals. The stem and leaves were stamped with PTI's Floral Frenzy stamp set. I die cut the butterflies using Stampin' Up's Beautiful Wings die. And next was just assembling everything. For my card base, I used Simply Chartreuse cardstock, cut at 5 1/2 by 8 1/2, scored at 4 1/4. Then I used my 1/2 corner rounder to round off the top of the card base. I added a strip of patterned paper on the bottom of the card, stamped the stems and the leaves on white cardstock and added the circle flower tops. Then I punched out a bunch of 3/4 circles in Simply Chartreuse cardstock and adhered them to the bottom back of the white cardstock to create a scallop border. I rounded the top of the white cardstock as well. I layered this card onto the base card, and added the butterflies. I wanted some bling, so I taped a strip of 1/4 Scor Tape covering the top of the patterned paper and the bottom of the white cardstock. I peeled off the tape lining and added glitter, which stuck on perfectly to the Scor Tape. On a side note, I must say that I am in-love with Stampin' Up's Dazzling Diamonds glitter. I've purchased and tried so many glitters out there, store-bought and catalog-ordered but nothing beats Dazzling Diamonds. I can't find anything that shines and glitters so beautifully as Dazzling Diamonds does. If anyone's tried something and find it comparable to Dazzling Diamonds, please let me know. I only say this, because I hate paying for shipping and I use this stuff up so quickly that it becomes a little too pricey and it's not so easily accessible either. I'd like to be able to run out and just get this at a store if I'm in need of it. Not having to place a whole order and wait for it to be shipped would be a plus.
Anyway, this was a super easy card to make! Hope you like it!
