Baby Card 3

This card was inspired by Nichole Heady's post.  I love how she sponged the ink onto the card.  I tried it myself, wasn't as clean or nice as hers but the idea was the same. I usually never stamp messages on the inside of cards.  I like leaving them blank so that the sender can insert their own personal message.  But this stamp set is so awesome.  The inside sentiment is just perfect!

Baby Card 2

I love the look of this card. I'm thinking of posting it on my Estsy shop.  The double edges facing inward and the decorative buttons in the corners of the swags.  Oh, how I love it!

Baby Cards!

A few of my friends are expecting babies this year. Can't wait to welcome these little ones into the world.  I've been making a number of baby cards.  Just absolutely love them.  I'll be posting them this week so I hope you enjoy them.

I do apologize in advance, it's been raining like crazy, so icky and gloomy out, no sunlight shining through so I wasn't able to get really nice photos for you.

OMG! Another Pals Paper Arts Artist Pick!

I'm so excited!  I've been chosen for another Pals Paper Arts Artist Pick!  I love playing PPA and to be chosen as an artist pick is just a huge honor!  Thank you ladies for appreciating my paper crafts!  I had so much fun playing!

In Bloom Valentine's Day

Here's a Valentine's Day using the In Bloom stamp set from PTI.  I also used strips of designer paper from Stampin' Up.  I stitched the strips together and placed the flower image on top.  I added a little touch of green onto the card by using the ribbon.  I love the sparkles on this one!

In Bloom- Spring Colors

I wanted to incorporate three of my favorite PTI stamp sets: In Bloom, Guidelines Two, and Turning A New Leaf.  I stamped a perfect background with three coordinating colors using images from Guidelines Two. I love how the Stampin' Up ink colors Rose Red, Cameo Coral, and Certainly Celery work together to create a soft, beautiful look.  So easy to do with such fabulous results! Next, I added a strip of Designer Paper in Cameo Coral on top of the stamped background.  Then I stamped the flower image from In Bloom in Cameo Coral three times and hand cut them to create the 3-D image.  I also stamped 2 leaf images from Turning a New Leaf in Certainly Celery and hand cut them to place alongside the flower.  (I love this set because you can literally find any leaf image to use on your card.  The images come in different sizes so it's easy to get the perfect fit.)  The last touch was the buttons in between the bottom swags.  This is definitely one of my favorites!

Valentine's Day Card-4

For this card, I couldn't get a good picture of the details  for the trail of the butterfly that I added in the red cardstock portion of the card. In the first picture, the flash just didn't help. So the second picture I posted is without the flash.  It's a little blurry but I hope you can still see it.

Valentine's Day Candy Box 2

Here's another candy box I made.  Wouldn't this make an adorable Valentine's candy gift box? These boxes are a little addicting.  I made four already, but I'm going to stop now.  I like the colors on this one, so pretty. For directions for this box, go to yesterday's post-Valentine's Day Candy Box.

PPA26- Valentine's Day Heart Treat Bag

Pals Paper Arts 26 challenge this week is to make anything but a card.  FUN! I made this heart treat bag using my Sizzix Petals Card die.  I die cut four petal cards out of red cardstock.  Then I took two of them and cut 1/4 off of two conjoining petals on each petal card. I folded two of the other petals (the two I didn't cut) into heart shapes and adhered them inside of the heart shapes of the other two. (The folded parts facing in) Then I used sticky strip to join together the cut petals of the two petal cards that I cut. Confusing?  It's easier to see it done, then to explain it like this.  Anyway, what I ended up with was an awesome heart treat bag with three inside pockets.  The middle pocket is the largest.  (The last pictured shows this well.) Then I cut some ribbon and made the handle by using pink corduroy brads to hold them into place.  The last part was just decorating the outside of the heart bag.  I love the Lattice die, so I die cut two pieces of Pretty in Pink, and cut off one corner of the lattice. I found that it was a perfect fit on the heart.  Then I added some hearts from the I {heart} Hearts stamp set and some butterflies from the butterfly embosslit.  I love how it turned out! Oh, and by the way,  it's perfect for Ghirardelli squares! YUM!

Valentine's Day Candy Box

I wanted to get my hands dirty with all my new goodies. I know I made a number of cards already with the Butterfly Embosslit from Stampin' Up but I still can't get enough of it! I love butterflies. Believe or not, I have a whole Swarovski Crystal Butterfly Collection. Someday I'll have to take a picture of it and post it on here. Anyway, I'm getting off track! Here's a candy box I made. I decorated the top of the box using the new scallop punch and some butterflies. I used a leaf image form PTI's Turning a New Leaf stamp set and the hearts are from Stampin' Up's I {heart} Hearts stamp set. I decided to use a heart for the box closure. So cute, isn't it?
For directions for making this cute little candy box, click here for Angie's Candy Box video tutorial. Some helpful tips for making the box, I found it easier to mark the placement of the brad with a pencial and then punch it out with a 1/16 punch instead of trying to use a paper piercer. (No damage to the box that way and it definitely looks a lot neater.) I did this to the heart closure too. I was able to fit 3 Ghirardelli chocolate squares in the box. My favorites are the caramel ones! YUM!

This card is very similar to the one I posted yesterday.  Got to love that butterfly embosslit from Stampin' Up! You can stack the butterflies on top of one another or use them individually.  Love it!

PPA25- Inspiration Challenge

It's an inspiration challenge from Pals Paper Arts!  I decided to use the colors from the inspiration image to create my card.  I love the colors red, white, pink, and chocolate together. What a perfect combination!  I stamped the background with these colors and really love how it turned out. Don't you?  The flower was made with circle punches, and I added a button with some twine onto it. Love it!

Monkey Birthday Card

I made this birthday card with an image from the same set that I used yesterday.  Another boy card!  Don't you just love monkeys?  Everytime my son sees a monkey, he says, "Mommy, it's Oooh, Ooooh, Ah, Ah" because he can't say the word "monkey".

Lion Birthday Card- 2

Here's another lion birthday card.  I created the background by uisng three different hole punches to punch through the paper and them I just sponged the edges with Stampin' Up Chocolate Chip ink. Cute, huh?
