Flourish Butterflies

Here are two cards I made using flourishes to form butterflies.  Beautiful!  The talented Dawn McVey came up with this awesome idea.  Click on her name and you'll see her post on how she created it.  I made two cards using the flourishes.  Isn't it awesome?!  Believe me, I wouldn't be able to think of such things!

Purple and Orange Card

Happy Friday everyone! This week sure flew by fast!

Ever think of pairing purple with orange?  I love the two colors together.  They are both such strong but complementary colors. Definitely makes me happy!

Through the Trees Cards

I made these cards last night.  I love the dark trees among the white background.  I heat embossed the trees in black.  In person, they look amazing; the pictures really don't do it any justice.  I added some red birds to give it a pop of color and layered it with coordinating cardstock.  I love how these turned out.

Rose Card

I hardly ever used this stamp set because I could never align the two-step stamping correctly...that is, until I got my Stamp-a-ma-jig. This must be the most useful tool ever!  I am able to stamp exactly where I want.  Perfection, really!  I love how this rose looks.  The two-step stampin create the perfect rose image.  The two tone makes it look so professional.  I love it!

Flower Card 2

Here's another card I made using the same flower stamp from yesterday.  The patterned paper is gorgeous, isn't it?  I love how you can add so much to a card just by using patterned paper.  This definitely ties the whole card together.

Flower Card

I get so excited when I see flower stamps.  I love flowers and must have a ton of them in my collection.  This flower comes from an old Stampin' Up set.  I like how you can build dimension with a single stamp just by layering. How do you like this card?

PPA30- Kiss

For Pals Paper Arts 30 this week, the theme is KISS (Keep it simple, sweetie).  I love how I can just die cut images and stick them on a card and viola!  It looks like you spent an awful lot of time on it but you really didn't. I die cut the Top Note and the Flower.  I added a button to the flower and also curled the petals to give it a little dimension. I stamped the sentiment on  a blue cardstock and cut it out before adhering it onto the card.  Easy peasy!

You Are Dino-mite Card

This card is the same design style as the last one posted.  I think the dinosaur hear is just adorable!

You Float My Boat Card

Isn't this card so cute?  I used two different colored patterned paper for the background and peirced wholes along the inside edges just to give it some interest.  Then I stamped the label image onto a scalloped circle that I die cut. The boat and sentiment was so cute, I had to use it.  Love it!

Blooming Button Bits Card 2

Oh, it's already Monday.  Another week awaits us...

I've been playing around with my new stamp sets.  I love this combination of buttons with flowers.  So, here's another card I made using the Blooming Button Bits stamp set.  And if you absolutely love the cut-out I used, it's Spellbinders Nestibilities Dies- Labels Four.  I am so in love with these dies.  I searched everywhere for them, at the local craft stores, Michael's, Joann's.  I couldn't find it anywhere except the Internet.  Sometimes I hate ordering from the Internet because you never really know what you're getting and I always want to see, feel, and touch what I am buying.  So I was quite pleasantly surprised when I was at Joann's the other day and these dies were on a side rack right in front of me.  I purchased this one and used my 50% off coupon.  What a deal I got on it!  I am sure to stop by again when the next coupon arrives in the mail.  I already have something else in mind.

Anyway, I'm so ready for the spring weather.  All this cold makes it look so gloomy outside.  I cannot wait for spring to arrive!

Blooming Button Bits Card

Happy Sunday everyone!

I've missed a lot of church since "LIFE" has happened.  I used to go to church religiously and made it a point to always be there every Sunday. But somehow along the way of getting married, having kids, and just living life, I lost my way.  Well, since this new year has started, I've recommitted myself to going to church every Sunday. It's just 1 1/2 hours a week.  Can't I spare that much time for God?  Of course!

Have a great day guys!  Oh, and this is the card I made for today from PTI's Blooming Button Bits stamp set.  Isn't it gorgeous?

Baby Onesie Cards

I made these adorable baby onesie cards using Rock-a-Bye Baby Click Simple templates from PTI. The last picture shows the sentiment that is stamped inside of the card. Love the way the onesies look!  Just too adorable! I cannot wait to give these out.  Don't you think my friends will love these cards!  They were so easy to make too!

Today is also a special day...It's my birthday!!!  It's a little bitter sweet for me.  Although I love to celebrate my birthday each year, it just makes me realize that I'm only getting older.  Sometimes I wish I could stay young forever.  The good thing is that I don't feel that old inside, so it's all good.

PPA28- Color Challenge

Another PPA Color Challenge, Yippee!!!  I love the colors for this week's challenge.  It wasn't hard coming up with a card.  I made two but I'll just post one for today.  I'll post the other one later on.  Hope you like it!

PTI- Emboss Resist

Here's my emboss resist card.  Couldn't help playing  with PTI!

Thank You Card

This is pretty much the same card as yesterday but with different colors. Isn't it amazing how you can change up the whole look of the card just by using different shades?  Looks totally different from yesterday's post, wouldn't you agree?

Springtime Flowers

Happy February!

I don't know why but when I pick up cardstock to make some cards, I keep grabbing spring colors.  I think I'm ready for this cold, gloomy weather to stop.  Here's a spring card to bring some sunshine into your day!
