Shimmer Mist Card

I decided to make another card with my homemade shimmer mist sprays. I used it on the white cardstock with the stamped green leaves.  My lighting was bad so the photo doesn't show the shimmer mist too well.  Either way, I wanted to post up this card because I love this color combo together!  Hope you like this one.  When it's spring, I always want to use butterflies on every single card.  I tied the butterfly layers together with brown twine.  Love it!

Make It Monday #15 Make Your Own Spray Mist

I love this week's Challenge! So much fun!  I made two spray mists.  For the first spray mist, I used a combo of PTI Spring Rain ink, Stampin' Up Tempting Turquoise ink, and Stampin' Up Frost White Shimmer and mixed them with water.  Loved how the combination looked together.  For the second spray mist,  I just used the Frost White Shimmer and mixed that with water.

For my card, I masked a white cardstock with the large marigold image from PTI's Year of Flowers: Marigolds stamp set and the leaves from Sending You stamp set.  Then I sprayed the white cardstock with my first spray mist.  I love the shiny blue!  So soft and beautiful! Next, I took off the masking images and stamped the carnation image and the leaves.  I colored the carnation with Copic markers and decided to add some layers for dimension.

I sprayed the flower images with my second spray mist for a shimmery look and layered them on top of each other.  I didn't want the flower to be blue, thus the reason for making the second spray mist with just the Frost White Shimmer and water.

Next, I stamped the sentiment and added half pearls to the middle of the flower. The card base is a retired Pink Passion cardstock from Stampin' Up, which I ran through my Sizzix with PTI Tin Types Impression Plate.  I'm not sure if you can see that very well in the photos above.

Love my spray mists, and I can't wait to use them again! If only I had a whole day just to stamp!  But you know, life is filled with so many other things and my kiddies keep me so busy. For instance, at this very moment, I am typing and nursing at the same time.  Always the multi-tasker! (I apologize if that was TMI.) :)

Thanks So Much

Patterned paper makes it so easy to dress up a card.  I love the look of this card but I'm now thinking that sentiment can hardly be seen and I should have stamped it in a different darker color. Oh well, there's always next time! :)

Thanks for stopping in!

Birthday Wishes

I love birthdays!  Here's a card I made with a Stampin' Up set that I had.  Love to put everything in threes. That's why I have three stamped flowers there and the butterfly is oh so pretty too!

Isn't this such a cute card for a boy?  I love the mat stack dies that PTI offers. And the spaceship is oh so adorable!  Love it!

Happy Birthday

This card is quite simple. Just some layering of doilies and a stamped sentiment but I had to show it because those lovely resin flowers on the card were made by yours truly.  Betsy Veldman has an awesome tutorial here if you want to make some yourself.  I love these accents.  They're so easy to make too.  I recently made some large resin flowers and placed them on some ring blanks.  I gave them to my sisters who absolutely love the rings!

Thanks for stopping in and see you tomorrow!

Beep, Beep! Look out, here comes trouble!

Don't all little boys love firetrucks?  I know mines do!  Here's a card I made with another $5.00 stamp from Papertrey.  Love how cute and affordable many of their stamp sets are.

Thanks for stopping in and have a great day!

You're Out Of This World!

Here's a card I made with a $5.00 stamp from PTI. The stamp set is called Boy Basics: Out of This World. Love it!  What's awesome is that it comes with a coordinating die so no need to do any hand cutting!  Love it even more!

Sending You Birthday Wishes

I decided to curve the top of this card to match the curve on the raspberry fizz die-cut arch.  Isn't it so pretty?  I like how simple this card is.  No ribbons, glitter, buttons, or anything fancy.  Just paper, stamps and die-cuts. Of course, I couldn't resist so I added a rhinestone in the middle of the flower.  LOL!

Happy Birthday Zachary!

Four years ago God blessed me with one of his little angels.  That day, I truly knew what it meant to be a mother and experienced a love like no other.  I thank God for all my blessings.  I can't believe my little boy is already 4 years old. Happy Birthday Zachary!

Here's a birthday card for my birthday boy!  Mommy loves you!

Happy Birthday to You Train Card

I love playing with new sets that I get from Papertrey Ink. Every time a package comes in and I open it, it's like Christmas all over again.  Sometimes I think I'm too old to be enjoying it that much.  Here's a new set I just got.  Perfect for boys!  Love it!

Make It Monday #13: Impression Plate Tricks #2

Hey everyone!  Glad to be back to blogging again. Here's my take on the Make It Monday trick for this week.  I love these colors together.  The weather's getting nice now.  It finally feels like spring, so I can actually go outside to take photos of my cards.  There's nothing like natural light!
