Make It Monday #48: Creating Backgrounds with Border Dies
I haven't been able to play Make It Mondays in a while, but I wanted to get this one in! I layered the Heart Border die cuts on top of one another starting from the bottom. Came out so pretty. On the top row of hearts, I added half pearls in between each heart. Above the layers, I die cut a pink cardstock out of one of the Doily Details die collection. I added a strip of the Heart Border die cut on top of it, added a Fillable Frames #10 Kraft die cut, and added the two large hearts. I also placed some half pearls on each heart. Had fun making this one but rolling out each strip of the heart border die cut with the Sizztix wasn't all that fun!
Thanks for stopping in! See you tomorrow!

Hope Your Day Is Fabulous!
My card today was all based on the pattern paper. I was flipping through all my pattern papers and saw this one that I couldn't resist to use. Isn't it gorgeous? I love the vibrant colors and how they work together. The red scarlet flower image is actually layered filigree pieces from the Filigree border die that I cut up and placed on top of one another.

Two Hearts Become One
I love how simple and easy this card was! I used PTI's Love and Marriage stamp set to make this card. The scarlet Filigree border die cut was what I had left over from yesterday. I placed it in the middle and also added some pearls to the middle of each filigree image. Pretty card!

Rosie Posie Happy Birthday
When I used the Rosie Posie stamp set to stamp the background on the Rustic White cardstock, I used it to make the card I posted yesterday but I still had some of it left. Not wanting to waste it, I used it to make this card. I didn't have enough for the whole card so I just used it for the bottom. I used a coordinating green paper that I had left over from another project and added it on top. To disguise the separation, I die cut a piece of scarlet paper with the Filigree Border die and added it in the middle. I also die cut the Happy Day die in Rustic White and stamped it with the sentiment. I placed that on the top of the card.
Thank you so much for stopping in, I'll see you tomorrow!

Happy Day! It's a Party!
I used my newest stamp set, Rosie Posie, to make a background on the Rustic White cardstock. Then I die cut the flower and leaf pieces and stamped them with the same ink colors. (Did I forget to mention that this stamp set has matching dies too? Got to have it!) I layered the stamped background with a satin green ribbon. I layered my flower pieces together and added some pearls to the center of the flower, before adding it onto the green satin ribbon with dimensionals. I placed the green leaves under the flower. Then I die cut the Happy Day die and stamped it with the sentiment. I added this to the right side of the flower. It really is such a pretty card!

Happy Birthday Princess
Remember a couple of weeks ago, I posted that my sister noticed that I had tons of boys' birthday cards but very little or hardly any girls cards. Well, I bought this cute adorable castle stamp set and made a few cards with it. Love it! it's so super cute!

Celebrate Your Day Rosie Posie
Love my new Rosie Posie stamp set from PTI! I've been playing with it a lot now that the holidays are over. I'll be showing you a few more cards I've made using this stamp set in the upcoming days. It's a great set to make your own backgrounds too. Hope you like this simple card I've made.
After the Holidays
Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year. For Christmas, we had a dose of good and bad.
First with the good! We hosted Christmas this year at our house and had both sides of the family over. The boys were super excited and it was the best Christmas for them yet. My oldest, Zachary, fully understands the whole idea of Santa and Christmas so his excitement rubbed off on his little brother. The night before Christmas, we spread reindeer food outside the door, baked cookies for Santa and set out some carrots for the reindeers. Christmas day was even better! When the family was over, Santa came for a visit. Inquisitive Zachary's first questions was, "Santa, why did you come through the front door? Aren't you suppose to come down the chimney?" Lucky for us, I planned ahead and had the fireplace running before Santa's arrival. So Santa's response was, "I tried to come down the chimney but I almost got burned because there was a fire there!" Zachary shook his head and responded, "My Daddy did it!" They fully enjoyed Christmas!
Now for the bad... at the end of the night, when everyone left, I realized my wedding ring set was missing. I had taken them off (the engagement ring and wedding band) and placed them on the window ledge above the sink to cook. Forgot about them until the end of the night. When I went back to get them, they were gone. I spent the whole night turning the house inside out, looked through every garbage bag that was thrown out that night, and still they were nowhere to be found. I was so upset, I couldn't sleep for the next few nights. Still having trouble accepting it.
New Year's was spent at a friend's house and it was just great to be around friends with children the same age as mines. My kids enjoyed it as much as I did!
I hope your holidays were wonderful! I'll be up and posting cards again! Visit me tomorrow!
